This house project design is designed by StudioGreenBlue . The house which based in Fukayama, Saitama, Japan is constructed in 2008 and covers an area for about 97, 5 square meters. Nowadays, the people whose occupying their house is depended by the air conditioner which is installed inside to their house. Besides, they prefer their dwelling using a lot of glasses for spread of the space. It is the most important issue on the earth for the environmental problems which comes from the people’s lifestyle and their preference. But in Japan, there is a great idea which comes from the StudioGreenBlue architect to take over the people preference which is aimed to be the most problem for the environment, a new house design concept. The architect as the house designer thinks to make the comfortable house which as a large opening to get a refreshing feeling. By using the energy which is comes from the nature, the warmth of the sunlight and the fresh from the winds, the architect makes a comfortable place which is cool in summer and warm in winter.

This house project is precisely located in an inland area of the Kanto-plain. It is the hottest place in Japan which the ground of this location where the house constructed is surrounded by the field of the spring onion. The sandy wind from the north is blowing in through the gap of sash in winter season. In such of a harsh environment, inhabitants of this house, who are extremely sensitive to the cold is hopes a room which is a warm and to be able to keep privacy. The concrete which the architect chooses has a big calorific capacity. Besides, it is storing the heat, bringing the light, bearing the horizontal power, operation of sight, guiding the flow of the man and reducing the cold draft by using the concrete as the house louver. By making the house as the primary concrete louver, it is indicates that a new possibility between a man and house itself.

To shut out the sunlight and takes more wind blow in, the house has the opening which is like a gate. And for blocking the sunlight, the space between each concrete louver is contracts toward to the bottom of the house, it is widens toward the top for seeing the sky. The easy turn is becomes a sociable screen considering the privacy and the temper. The gradating which comes from the sunlight is accompanying the time and it is gives the gaily life inside the house. Commonly, the Japanese house has a central pillar and supported the houses and the family’s minds since a long time ago. But nowadays, in the present age when an environmental problem is becomes the most important issue, the concrete louver furnishes the protection of the privacy and main role on the space of the structure, the construction and the energy saving.
