Minimalist Apartment closed transformer space alliance
Which is based in the New York, the minimalist renovated apartment is completed designed by Dash Marshall. An apartment for Space-Age Lovers by have several key features such as a series of the sliding partition which is Dash Marshall allows the space to be reconfigured to meet the whims of the occupants, the transformer space appliance is rotating the closet wall which is enable further the flexibility, including the ability to form a walk-in closet when it is desired, and the extensive built-in cabinetry to allow all the possessions to be hidden from view.
The architect’s client is comes from the future, they live in a small space capsule which is docked into the shell of a building which is designed by IM Pei in the 1960s. The client want the architect to design a place where every boot and book, every single little thing can be hidden away. They want something that will make the most out of their 715 square feet area. The client ask the architect to design living space which will do all of this with aplomb. For the client itself, a smooth surface and the strong reflections are familiar to them: life reflected in the curved glass visor of space suits. The action form the architect for the order of the client is design a highly flexible, intensely personal, high-gloss home for two space-age lovers.
This project is designed by the architect for around four strategies. The first strategy is ‘simple space’, it is not very useful for just a tow feet long hallway. That’s why the architect is simplified the space inside the apartment. The architect is making the rooms larger by removing the hallways and transferring the square footage to its rooms. To recombine the rooms inside the apartment can achieved by using the sliding partition the space-age lovers, yielding many different ways to live inside the apartment.
The second strategy is a ‘friendly black hole’. It is a flexible zone which can be annexed to the living room or the bedroom, or optionally kept the closed as a large walk-through closet space depending on the needs of the lovers. It’s big enough to gobble up anything The Lovers need to hide. The third strategy is ‘everything in its right place’. This project is comes to the architect with a problem. The client want to live in the serenity, while inside the apartment has too much stuff. The client wants it without being reminded of their earthy possessions on a daily basis. The architect protects the client’s stuff by wrapping the apartment in an insulating layer of built-in storage which is providing the space to keep everything.
The fourth strategy is the ‘optic’. The reflection inside the apartment is telling the story of the zero-gravity life which the client Space-Age Lovers strive to live. Through the reflective surfaces and the new configuration of the interior spaces, it is able to views it within the multiplied apartment. This new sense of depth is an important addition to a small home that is also occasionally used as a workspace.
