Are you apartment lovers? Then it is right to come here because I will review about an apartment interior design. Here it is an apartment which called the Gothic Quarter apartment. This apartment which located in Barcelona, Spain, is completed designed by the YLAB Architects.
I got the information that this apartment interior design project consists of the renovation of a 130 meter square apartment with a terrace. It is precisely located in the heart of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter, in a catalog building located behind the City Hall. The original space is composed of a sequence of the bright and spacious rooms which is connected by the large arched openings; it is completed with the balconies along the facade and an inner courtyard.
As well as the exterior carpentry with the wooden shutters, I may say the original features are maintained such as the traditional Catalan ceilings with the wooden beams and the vaulted arches.
Inside this apartment, I find two areas, one open and social and the other one private: the first is comprised of the sequence of the entrance hall, kitchen and the living room, while the second consists of the bedroom suite. It’s a nice interior I though, by the kitchen-dining room, a spacious and the clean space, warm and elegant, it is recalls the old clubs and the cafes.
The other thing, which begins in the entrance vestibule, the ceiling and the longitudinal wall, are paneled with the tinted pine wood slats, assembled by hand. The paneling inside the apartment integrates much of the kitchen furniture and the auxiliary spaces; it is simplify the geometry of the kitchen space.
In this apartment, I really love the bathroom concept. Based on my opinion, the bathroom is a place of relaxation, intimate and sensual; it is oriented towards the courtyard garden. The walls are paneled entirely in phenolic board with a high-gloss finish, concealing the storage and perimeter led lighting fixtures. All bathroom fittings are free standing and rounded to enhance the feeling of spaciousness. The shower area and the toilet are hidden behind a translucent glass.
It is a nice apartment I think, nice concept!
