California Wine Country Architecture Design Before Remodel

A house remodel is completed designed by the Schneider Design Associates. This house remodel is located in St. Helena, California. The architect is remodeling this living space in collaboration with Jean Larrette Interior Design. The SDA for a Kitchen remodel and Master Bedroom addition are approached originally by the clients for this living space. The clients decided what really wanted is a contemporary living space design which would take the advantage of the beautiful site in the center of a well-known St. Helena winery’s vineyard during the design process. This new living space design is uses most of the original home’s footprint and adds a Master Suite and a separate Pool House.

By the architect, this design is takes the advantage of the sweeping vineyard ad ridgeline the views and a transforms a dated ranch style house into a contemporary weekend retreat. The design is connects the interior spaces directly to the rooms which is created in the landscape through the use of the two large doors which is placed on the axis with the Living Room, Dining Room and pool. The layout is allows for the effortless transition between the inside and the outside, perfect for the summer living and entertaining.
