This cafe project which adapted the kitchen atmosphere is designed by the Mim Design architect. This Capital Kitchen cafe is based in Melbourne, Australia. As well as providing a kitchen and food-based home wares component, the Capital Kitchen is an external facing food emporium which also comprises of a dining cafe and the bar. So, this fabulous project which is designed by the Mim Design is a combination of a cafe, bar and the food-based homewares store in Chadstone Shopping Center.
The clean and the modern interior design of the Capital Kitchen cafe is blends a minimal look with a rustic wooden country kitchen feel; it is a stark contrast from the monotony of the shopping center food outlets. The unique thing of this cafe is the combination of the textural brick walls, timber floors with a strong use of the Carrara marble, it is giving a loftily and contemporary feel. This project is described as the 2010 trend “Urban Revolution”. It is provides a shopper with an escape from the urban environment of the Chadstone Shopping Centre by delivering a space which is reminding of a modern ‘home-style’ farmhouse country.
As has been informed above, the timber floors and the joinery with a strong use of the Carrara marble add a loftily natural feel which is paired with the surrounding textural brick walls. It is an attention for the detail through the furniture and displays the echo an old style and the natural atmosphere.
