the access of environment landscape via living and dining room
We agree that everyone love contemporary home design and today in this perfect moment, I would like to review about a contemporary home design. This home design has an absolute sunlight; it is because this home is located in an open large yard. Well guys, if you feel curious yet about this home design, let’s get more info!
Completed designed by the Zervas Group Architects, this living space is located in Bellingham, WA, USA. The site area of this living space is covers for about 120 acres, while the house area is about 2, 500 square feet. This home is owned by Howard and Judy Holz.
About the home interior, the 2 bedroom of this living space is situated in the middle of an expensive cow pasture on the edge of a knoll which rises gently from the south and drops abruptly to the north. With the garage below, the living spaces are all located on one level; it is partially buried and hidden from the view.
Via a long gravel driveway through the field to a covered walkway which is leads to the main entry and the central great room, the home is approached from the south. Three massive basalt rocks greet you upon entry, providing a visual break between foyer and living room.
The view from the living space is to the north, it is across neighboring fields to the Pacific’s coast range of Canada. The main body of the house flares out and up with large expanses of the glass reaching for the scenery beyond. The central volume is flanked by low slung cedar clad boxes with timber frame pavilions book ending the composition. The roof of the garage provides and outdoor patio space adjacent to the kitchen. On the other end, the master bedroom has direct access to an outdoor room and fireplace.
The construction was akin to a traditional barn rising while the home’s forms are modern and abstract. The bulk of the construction was handled by Howard Holz and his two cousins, John and Jim. The metal work was done by another cousin, Harold. High school friend Dave Wiggins of Cowden Gravel & Ready Mix poured the radiant concrete floors, garage basement walls and retaining walls.
Well, you have to see the picture which I had inserted in this post; I promise you will love it! Ok guys that’s all I have got; I hope this post is useful for you. Have a nice day!
