The young architect from Brazil, Guilherme Torres choose to live in a small studio in Londrina, Brazil. This place will file an artist’s painting studio and is under test for over 10 years by the architect himself. This project came to life due to some problems found in the building such as electricity and electrical rewiring, cracked walls and seepage. Within a month, all layers of the wall have been removed and rebuilt while the architect decided to build a brick and sofa table. “As a designer of furniture, I decided to follow the thread as opposed to what I normally do and create something permanent, stable,” says the architect.
Not only is the table used to store books and collections, but also a place to work and eat in, while the sofa stands from wall to wall and has two black fabric mattress. Pillows are made with pieces of cloth with a pattern designed by stylists for Micasa Adriana Barra, São Paulo temple design. The kitchen is compressed in width 1.40m 3m long space. Concrete floor coated with rubber so as to avoid oil stains while receiving images plotage inspired wall mosaic Arabic, designed by the architect himself.
Bedrooms population which has some similarities to the attic, with a warmer atmosphere than the rest of the house because the exposed brick wall at the top of the bed. Electrical cable systems become more obvious in the guest bedroom, located on the mezzanine floor above the living room. This contemporary interior design ideas is inspired by Paulo Mendes da Rocha, a Brazilian architect who won the Pritzker prize in 2006 and is famous for exploring the Brutalist architecture, in which the functional architecture mechanisms such as hydraulic and electrical pipes in sight. Modern and avant-garde, the whole building cost around U $ 6,000.00 and a low cost is due to the simplicity of the architectural solutions.
