modern contemporary home architecture design in brazil
An elderly couple hired Guilherme Torres, a young Brazilian architect to design a contemporary home in a condominium area in Londrina, Brazil. The client want a home that can lived for a couple and big enough to social activities with their family at the weekends. This contemporary house build in 400m2 area using two consisting big blocks in that area. The architect designed a vast living area, a single block containing 3 bedrooms and one laundry area. The living room constructed near the swimming-pool, designed in well supplied natural light. The swimming pool itself designed in 16m lane coated with black glass chips customized for the home’s owner daily swim.

The house exterior and interior uses few sheathings that can easily found in the local area. The brick wall using rusty texture directly on the plaster. The floors and some walls made from a mix fo wood rulers and cement planks. The bedrooms windows using french style design built from wood by a local handicrafts-men, overall alternative material is more economic and sustainable than use a synthetic materials.
