Cotemporary Office Design Review

GROUP A architects have completed designed an interior of an office called the BP Office which is located in Rotterdam, The Netherland. This office, BP Raffinaderij Rotterdam is both the largest and the youngest oil company which is operating in The Netherlands. The companies have strong and dynamic character which will be expressed in the design of their new main office.

The office building will be located near to the BP refinery, but at the same time the safety of the BP employees has to be guaranteed. The architect, GROUP A has met these demands by designing a building which takes it office’s core values as a point of departure, thus creating a sustainable, safe and healthy environment for delicate and proud employees.

Contemporary Office Design Architecture

The office buildings location on the d’Arcyweg, it is precisely situated on the edge of the tough, industrial landscape of the refineries and the green, watery landscape of the Brielle lake. This office position right in between these two very different areas which is bordering the A15 motorway ensures that its location will be a landmark.

While it appears to be ‘breaking’ out of the dune on the south side, a new artificial dune on the north side the building is hidden. The safety measures against the explosion hazard which is posed by the refineries are being complied with; it is achieved by embedding the building into the landscape. The head office is a dynamic expression of the connection between landscape and building mass
