Hi guys! In this moment I would like to review about a modern home design which is created by Yiorgos Hadjichristou Architects. This is a nice home design indeed. And I love the architect concept very much. If you feel curious yet, then give it a break!

Lately I have got the information about the modern house architecture design called the House in Kaimakli. This beautiful living space was completed designed by the Yiorgos Hadjichristou Architects. It is precisely located in Kaimakli, Nicosia, Cyprus. Basically, based on my opinion, this living space is a modern home design which is use warmth furniture so the house itself looked so comfortable, and that’s the best advantage. But not only have that, the house maximized the roof of the building. This thing made me think that this house has something special in design.

I think that the refurbishment and the extension of the traditional house in Kaimakli is based on the main strategies of the bioclimatic approach, and especially on conditions that are developed through tradition : all the spaces enjoy south orientation with various ways of shading (including movable vegetation panel) and assure generous cross air ventilation. The vegetation and the reinforcement of the breezes through it, endorse the creation of a microclimate and microcosmos of the house.

This achievement is an awesome thing. The above conditions of the living space, it is combined with the aim for the preservation of the traditional atmosphere of the living space, it is generated the idea of the fluidity of the new spaces; all the new annexes are organized around two courtyards and consist of movable partitions. During the biggest period of the year, all the new spaces open and become parts of a unified courtyard, including the central part of the house, the ’sun room’.

Of this living space, I think that everything is amazing. Starting with the size of the house to the smallest details, to the book walls that can be seen from outside, to the numerous plants that seem to guard everything around. I think that you have the feeling that you find yourself in front of a fortress and nobody or nothing can harm you as long as you are here.
