Globe Installation assembly design
The Globe installation is originally designed a fabric covered frame. This Globe Installation is constructed by Francis Cauffman Architects with the collaboration of Eventscape, a custom manufacturer of framed structures. They have completed the Globe Installation in the lobby interior design of the St. Joseph’s Hospital in New Jersey. In the hospital which precisely located in the main lobby, this Globe Installation is being a part of the hospital’s expansion project which the new main lobby opened in September 2010. The Globe installation itself for the advance design of the hospital lobby symbolizes of the new advance care of the hospital offers. The large 30×30 feet media wall is engineered, fabricated and installed by the Eventscape.
This is settled at the various depths, the Globe Installation is composed from the acrylic cubes with the interior of LED light. The LED light itself is programmed with a variety of colors and pattern. 860 individual 6 inch square acrylic cubes compose the 20 feet diameter globe light feature. Eventscape is approached by the architect to design an alternative solution. In each color of the cubes are precisely placed to create a giant glowing globe, complete with all continents and polar caps.
