After designing the award-winning 95 Keerom Street Restaurant, InHouse Brand Architects in collaboration with world renowned chef and owner, Giorgio Nava, to create a second Italian contemporary design interior, Carne SA. Restaurant design is intended for meat lovers was a space that reflect “outstanding design and quality that will have longevity and style appropriate to the food”. This proved to be a long journey, and detailed to convert an old tea warehouse to ‘rough to the touch’ Italian restaurant butcher shop.
Original timber and steel columns on hold while the contrast of cold materials like pure white Carrera marble and stainless steel details, so that applying a butcher trade theme. Split level entry with a ‘floating’ steel ladder leading to a lighter features a cocktail bar on the ground floor view of the kitchen showroom. In this space white starkness differentiate itself against the grain warm social area with butcher block features and retro Italian meat slicer, increase the experience interior design ideas of Milan.
Basement is where we eat. Simple, non-fussy table with details of the edge of the wood and steel, light fittings concealed inside the burning wood beams create a dramatic atmosphere makes you ‘feel’ light, not seen, while the Louis ghost chairs disappear in space adds softness and transparency.
