Leif.designpark a Japanese based design studio have created the Hug Lounge Sofa for De La Espada.
This past weekend, contemporist.com attended the IDSWest design show in Vancouver, Canada, where we met Kevin Wharton of Designers at Large. Kevin was exhibiting the FlatFish no.1 prototype, which is designed to be used in small apartments, and can transform from a chair to a coffee table, bedside table, or bench.
Hug Lounge Sofa has a generous seating area and a playfully modern form reminiscent of a large embrace. In contrast to the familiarity of the welcoming seating area, the back of the sofa has the formality of a mens suit. [Via]
