With the covers an area for about 1,300 square meters, this offices are in keeping with the international trend for creating the expressive work-environment. The visions of the offices are outlined to Source Interior Brand Architects as “luxury, warmth and confidence”.

Source IBA project creative director Jeremy Stewart say that these elements is summarized by the client as ‘the hotel lobby look’ and it thus make sense to work with a design studio which is equally comfortable in the corporate and hospitality design sector. He also explains that while the source has a well-established corporate design team, he assembled a project-team from his hospitality division in order to really achieve a uniquely polished look consistent with the brief of the client.

The design team is established a visual language which is warm, professional and manicured with a focus on the luxurious finishes rich colors and the textural contrast. To keep the scheme fresh is set against a three dimensional envelope of the tonal greys, sharp expressions of the pure white, black or even a cheeky. And by the room modules, ceiling details and the main journey, the baseline of the stark rectilinear is established. This is complemented with the faceted shapes which are echoed in diagonal details like the table legs and the impressive screen to the reception area.

The result by layered with the elements, like Iris Mascheck wallpaper to the boardrooms and the textured wall-finishes is a clean and assertive space with the depth and conviction. Through the proportions in which the palette of black, tonal greys and white accented with strong yellow or warm walnut are applied, the different zones are distinguished. And through the executive office area into the call centre, the reception, boardroom and the lounge areas have the darker color with the palette lightening. In these places, the long charcoal internal wall is offset with floor to ceiling yellow pin boards and banks of the pure white desk and joinery to create a work environment which is energic, fresh and relevant. The return to the darker tones to signal a slower mood is comes with the magnificent Johannesburg vista, the staff pause area which is completed with the barista-grade coffee machine.

Steward said that the bold, self-assured and welcoming of this luxurious space will be equally comfortable in one of the many hospitality centers which is surrounds it.
