Recently I have gathered information about a modern home and luxury home design which called the House of the Tree. This luxury living space was build by the Kokaistudios. Located in Shenzhen, China, this nice living space was covers area for about 616 square meters. Based on my observation, this living space designed by the Kokaistudios in November 2011.

I realize this living space which called House of the Tree is precisely located at the 48th and 49th floor of a high-residential tower which is sited in Shenzhen, China. This project is a penthouse concept which is planned by the architect itself. The briefing resulted in a concept of “living between the city and the nature”, this is truly offers a modern lifestyle with luxury and of course relaxation.

Sited in a high area, punctuated by a tree which is incredibly planted at the 48th floor of a residential tower, the house which has an elegant and exceptional entrance allows a panorama view which is enhances the relationship between the interior and the home exterior. It is also provides an opportunity to bring in a large quantity of the daylight indoor. It is the result of a large-scale of architectural modification applied to the original layout of the penthouse, a join unit of two regular apartments and a typical situation in high-rise residential towers in current China market, does not allow any perception of two floor apartments.

Nice idea from the architect itself, they create the new core of the apartment in an impressive double height atrium with the opportunity to bath by the natural light. This achievement was achieved by enclosing a small portion of the outdoor terrace into a glass pavilion in the center of the penthouse itself. This new core space with walls removed from original layout has increased the kitchen and the dining area to be conceived as dynamic spaces. It is surrounded by an amazing outdoor swimming pool and it is able to be divided by semi transparent glass partition to satisfy various scenarios.

The luxury feeling comes from the house interior design. Between the entrance to the living room and to the guest bedroom which is located on the first floor to guarantee the privacy from the family area located on the second level, it is preludes by a transitional space which is being distributes the functions. With a great sculptural attitude with a deep study of the details making it a prominent symbol of the space, the staircase has been designed.

There is also a multi-function living room inside this luxury penthouse. It is originally divided by a partition which does not allow for a connection between the norths. While in the south view has been reconfigured by locating a fireplace in the middle of the space to create a dynamic layout for the social flexibility.

In the second room, maybe it can be true if I say that the concept of fluid and dynamic spaces the mainstream of the entire project and has been applied in this room in both master bedroom and the study room which are separating a mood of the tranquility and activities, yet allowing continuous the journey between the spaces.

Well, the final product stands as an example of Kokaistudios vision of luxury living with timeless-chic taste; defined by a connection to nature, a connection to fine materials and craftsmanship, while meeting the demands of a modern way of living.
