Luxury Home Design Review
Sullivan Conard Architects has completed designed a luxury house architecture design which called the Washington Park Residence which is based in Seattle, Washington, USA. This living space is precisely located on a bluff overlooking Lake Washington with the views of the Eastside and Cascades beyond. By contrasting the mass and transparency to capture broad, unobstructed views while preserving the privacy, this living space takes the advantage of the site.
To provide the carefully framed views from the west facing rooms, thick, thermally insulated concrete walls are layered and modulated on the street side of the living space, it is add depth and shadow to the facade, and orchestrate the entry sequence through the courtyard to the front door.
The transparency of the east side of the house is revealed with the floor to ceiling windows and the doors which is connecting to a stone terrace upon the entry. The fossil fuel consumption is reduces by the geothermal heating system and the green roof mitigates storm water runoff for this living space.
Luxury Home Design Designer Background
For more than twenty five years Sullivan Conard Architects, along with its predecessor firm Stephen Sullivan Architects, has distinguished itself for its dedication to excellence in architectural design. Our core strengths lie in three areas: close, personal collaboration with our clients; commitment to creative design and fine craftsmanship; and technical expertise to support a well-executed construction phase.
At Sullivan Conard Architects we engage our clients and the project team toward the creation of timeless, site-appropriate buildings that resonate with our clients’ aesthetics while supporting their way of life and practical needs. A balance between innovation and tradition informs our work, with careful consideration of scale, proportion and detail.
As the design evolves they explore the connections between indoor and outdoor spaces, views, and light, as well as choices about materials, sustainability, and building systems. Each design develops through the use of hand sketches, digital renderings and physical models. Throughout the process, they pay close attention to their client’s budgets and engage contractors in cost estimating early on. With the client’s approval of the design, careful research goes into the preparation of detailed specifications and construction drawings.
