A minimalist farm house architecture design in Betuwe
We can find many types of the home if we talk about home design. In this perfect moment, I will talk about a minimalist architecture house. This minimalist home design which I will talk about is combining the modern and simple design. For young couple, I think this house is an exact choice. For more information after the break!
Recently I have gathered an issue about a minimalist home design which completed designed by the reSET architecture. This Farm House in Dutch Betuwe is located in Betuwe, The Netherlands. Small, simple, yet comfort and modern, this living space covers area for about 280 square meters. This small family dwelling is completed in 2011.
This is not designed from zero, but the architect has renovated this farmhouse. The reSET architect has designed the renovation and the extension of the small decaying farmhouse with a beautiful apple orchard. As I said before, this farmhouse is located in an idyllic location in the Dutch Betuwe region.
When you see the house in the area where the house was located, the simplicity and the sobriety of the farmhouse is revealing much about life in the past here, and of course how a peasant family and their livestock must have lived here under one roof. There you also can notice the self-evident presence in its surroundings which make the farmhouse distinctive and worth preserving. Therefore, by the architect the design strategy for the renovation of the derelict farmhouse aims to maximize the connection with the landscape, direct and metaphorical.
By the architect, the house renovation clearly shows that it is possible to reuse a derelict farmhouse and preserve it well without loss of its original rural character. Simultaneously the updated ensemble is enhanced it with a bold contemporary architecture that creates additional qualities fitting today’s living standards and expressing the mindset of the new residents.
For this renovation, two different housing archetypes are combined; a landscape-oriented ‘loft-like’ open-plan living space and a more private plan, arranged in rooms, in the existing farmhouse. In both cases, the openings in the wall are arranged in a way which they provide the optimum views of the surrounding landscape.
The facades of the extension have an identical structure; there is a steel base and top edge separated by a glass facade or timber infill. The black wooden slats infill refers to the traditional barn facades in the region. The wooden infill has a predetermined pattern with slats of different heights so that the rural character gets an elegant refinement.
Well in the end, this minimalist home design is a simple superb home design. It would be nice if a young couple has this home, they can find a romance there. Ok guys, I think it’s up, thanks for read my issue. Have a nice day!
