This project is a modern house architecture design which completed designed by the collaboration architect between CR2 Arquitetos and FGMF Architects. The challenge which faced the architects is how to make a modern living space in a 4×30 meters lot?

The answer comes across a lot of research, even though the object is deceptively simple. The architect have borrowed more than certainly that it would be possible to make the advantage of the little space in a creative manner from the tiny Japanese and Dutch houses. The manner is some examples would also induce the certain implosion of the program of the small-bourgeois living space.

Which is aligned to the conventional space for the stereotype of a middle-class family which located in São Paulo, the architectonic proposal ends logic a bit and turns to integrated spaces and eliminates others which are considered “mandatory”.

The main factors for the development of the living space project are the occupation of the lot. In order to create three facades generously bathed in the light, the search for the natural illumination and ventilation is conditioned the emphasis on the central garden is cut in the constructed volume.

Two blocks of different sizes organizes the functions of the living space and require residents which are united by a footbridge around the garden. It is intended to enjoy the green on all displacements. On the ground floor and the bedrooms upstairs, the larger block focuses the living room and the kitchen; the smaller one contains the supporting environments such as the service area, office and the vertical circulation of the new living space.

For the living space itself, the garden also plays a role in the efficiency. The grassy area has a Surinam cherry three and a brought green wall which cool naturally and create a low pressure zone in addition for allowing a permeable area superior to the required by the law. Toward the kitchen window, the air, cooled, crosses the living room toward the kitchen window, it is renewing the air and assuring appropriates the thermal conditions for the most of the year. In the winter, this thermal screen which is protects the house facade from the sunset can be collected, so that the sunlight helps to warm the environment.
