Fresh, harmony, elegance, these are words to express a modern home design which located in Dublin, Ireland. Just by seeing its picture, I really want to build the same house like this. It’s really a dream house for me. This architecture is best for a big family member. Feel curious yet about this home design? Give it a break then!

Recently I have gathered an issue about a modern home design. Then my choice falls in a living space which called the 3 Mews Houses. This modern dwelling was completed constructed by the ODOS architects. As I said before, this living space is located in Dublin, Ireland. Consist 3 areas, each covers for about 190 square meters. This modern living space is done designed by the architect in 2010.

The site for this home is precisely located on an industrial laneway in Dublin 8, previously devoid of the domestic life. This industrial setting is the instrumental in informing the architectural language of these dwellings. The three dwellings appear as a mysterious, robust and in penetrable mass if you see it from the outside. There is a cantilevered upper the section, it is a composition of the powder coated metal industrial flooring planks which is arranged in a structural steel frame.

This voile like planks has been laid out in varying widths. It is intended to create a rhythm to the street elevation and have been periodically doubled in depth, creating a moiré or interference pattern. At night the front elevation comes alive; its transparency is realized when each property is lit from within. Views of foliage and tree tops coming through and over the front screen hint at what lies beyond and it are only as you pass under the front cantilever through the powder coated metal plinth that the warm, light filled heart of the building is exposed.

Now I will talk a bit about the house interior design. The interior of each dwelling is an experience of the color, light and shadow. A series of the internal spaces one would not normally associate with the domestic architecture, it is resulted from the coloration and detail of the surfaces which is combined with the lighting strategy.

This achievement initially throws the visitor but later implores them to question the status quo; the architect owner-occupier clients and the architect itself see this as a worthwhile experiment. The floor plan for each of the three bedroom dwellings is conceived as a flexible pattern or weave of built and inbuilt spaces stitched together by a central circulation route linking the split level accommodation (seven plates in total).

Well, maybe this is all I have got. If I talk a bit more about this perfect dwelling choice for me it would be a waste, so I think it’s up. I love this living space very much. Have a nice day guys!
