HUIS-JCMZ House Kitchen Interior Design
A modern house architecture design is completed designed by the architect Studio Twenty Seven Architecture. This living space is located in Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA. Which is built in 2005, this house site location is covers an area for about 3,000 square foot. To realize this new pavilion, building on the foundations of a former brick Colonial residence is demolished, the architect worked collaboratively with the house owner, Johannes Zutt, to create a 2,500 square foot living space which they envisioned as “a city in the garden”. A peripatetic Dutch national, Zutt, desired a modern domestic space with the open plan living and minimalist detailing recalling the European architecture of Luigi Snozzi, Rem Koolhass and Pierre Chareau.
To form public and private spaces in the same manner which the buildings are arranged in an urban setting to create streets, plazas and alleys, the house rooms are arranges within the house. The architect result is a contemporary dwelling which is designed using the rigorous programming and a critical logic to carefully evaluate the function and efficiency of the every element within the living space.
Which is plunges from the rooftop deep into the living space, the main space of the house is includes a volumetric light monitor and a very top of its affords a third-story loft which is accessed from the second-story bedroom which is it also contains. The warm-toned maple is flooring and millwork complements the cast-concrete countertop and china closet.
The long and narrow site is rises steeply from the street, it is leveling at the modern house architecture design and it is gently sloping upward to a wooded thicket in the outside. The living space’s mass and the proportions complement surrounding the living space and it is respect the prevailing setback from the street in difference to the neighborhood context. The materials such as the corrugated aluminum siding, shiplap cedar siding and a painted brick clad the exterior and these materials are layered on the steel frame. It is to reinforce the expression of the public and private spaces within the living space. While the siding is gradually peeled away in a public areas to engender openness to the landscape, the private spaces of the house is receives an additional layer of siding.
