CitizenM Glasgow will be the third hotel to open in CitizenM family, and offer the mobile citizen of the world of affordable luxury in the heart of the city. The concept of the hotel is to cut out all the hidden costs and remove all unnecessary items, to give the guests a luxurious feel for an affordable price.
Strong natural granite forming eight-storey building. High performance, mass and construction company is closely aligned with the context. A shiny red color, high double facade marks the entrance.
CitizenM want to contribute also to the culture environment. Two large works of art, printed on pvc mesh fabric was placed on the façade.
The houses with ground floor commercial space at hotel entrance Renfrewstreet. Behind the façade of red glass double height space connecting with the world CitizenM Street on the first floor. A large red colored helical stairs and the sky hanging lamps to welcome you.
The first floor public area is divided into several living rooms. Our goal is to create a home-environment, by designing a work area, dining area and sitting area in collaboration with Vitra.
Primarily self-service. A red-bar service is the core of the canteen and on one side surrounded by a 20-meter long bookcase. This bookshelf contains, in addition to the rack with magazines, newspapers and merchandise, the glass case is also cooled by the drinks. At night canteenM changes to the area-bar, closed book shelf parts and different lighting scenes create an intimate atmosphere.
All rooms CitizenM built from the site. This means that the outside measurement is limited to allow for transportation to the site-building. In this measurement guests will continue to be evaluated and improved for each hotel.
The bed stood in front of floor to ceiling, wall to wall windows and super king size. These white sheets and pillows offer a waiting room to watch TV on a flat LCD screen.
Wet-room, which contains the rain-and hand-shower and toilet lights in every color you want and become a signature element in the room.
The mood pad
An electronic mood pad with a touch screen allows visitors to control the entire room, setting the atmosphere of the room for their choice.
