All personal and social areas developed at a single level overlooking the mountains. Verandas of this place turned into a lawn where a swimming pool with deck, douche, a water mirror and cascades are located. It is challenging to find a harmonious solution to a mixture of natural elements, rural and contemporary, and materials necessary to meet the different tastes of the occupant (mother and two children). Another challenge is the adjustment of structural steel used in the living room, porch and bedroom with a layer of reclaimed wood and with the conventional structure of the rest of the project.
The materials are selected in order to combine beauty, snugness and ease of maintenance and to create a contrast between natural materials and technologies such as reclaimed wood, stone, clay, bamboo, tile, fiber, metal, stainless steel, double glass and laminated glass, tile glass, anodized aluminum, wood venetian and tecnocimento. Appropriate placement in the surrounding houses, the use of glass and wooden venetian blinds that allow cross ventilation which made the atmosphere very comfortable.
The use of wood in floors, walls and ceilings and massive wooden doors lead to the absorption of acoustic noise that increases comfort. Cantilevered roof of the porch is made of structural steel, bamboo and shade offer polycarbonate and create the village atmosphere. There is no intention to follow a trend by the choice of furniture. Instead of each article of furniture carefully selected to reflect the personal history of residents with their multiplicity, their references and values. Furniture, including classical, country, contemporary and design pieces made by Brazilian designers. All the furniture to give to the entire region lightness and fluidity that makes it possible to see through them, the landscape.
