This holiday house is an exploration on how to create a building of both a strong architectural character and economy. The Architects have used the techniques of simple modular construction combined with a very simple form. The plan is rectangular and divided into 3 parts, bedroom solid form at each end supporting the roof floating above the living space in between with large and wide modular home windows.
Peka Peka Holiday Beach House layout allows the living room to face both, to the hill in east and to the sea in west. This allows sun into the house all day, for passive solar heating of the slab concrete and create a space outside the shelter on the east side who still keep strong ties with western views of the sea.
