Park life Hotel architecture design
A Nice and beautiful park concept,”Parklife”, designed by a Stockholm architect Arrow Frick who received the first rank in European 10 competition, is constructed in Osthammar, Sweden. This great concept is a park, hotel and spa. The project designed based on its location itself which has the beautiful natural view. That is the point which becomes the idea to construct this park. From this locate, just take a walk to the beach, you can find the beautiful Baltic Sea. Because the town where the project located is very small, this beautiful sea can appear nearly.
In the nineteenth century this location is an important place in Osthammar, it constructed a beautiful park, heat and cool bathhouse and a club house. One of the popular from them is the Osthammar’s SPA which attracts the visitor from the other big city.
The target of this project is to rebuild this popular atmosphere like first. The main issue in the proposal is the boundary between the private and the public part. In the park project laid the three connected circular gravel footpaths which divide the site in a smaller part. So it is able in each circle to give the different program and atmosphere. The original plan from the 1880s is used to rearrange the project.
This great project is constructed in a one building which stacked in four floors. This is the best strategy to keep the park and the old way intact, so this project is made crowded look in one building which constructed.
This volume has been settled and partly separated with the park. A contrary ambition, like open >< close, calm >< intense, minimal footprint >< more space in park area, that will be the future vision in vital part of Osthammar.
The hotel project is located in the south corner of the site, while the hotel restaurant is angled to the north. It is entering the park between the tress. How beautiful place it is! Making it is the part both of the hotel and the park.
There is a public roof terrace 14 above the ground which is replaced the loss area in the park. It will cause the footprint of the hotel. Besides, it functioned as a view platform and the other activities with a great view of the beautiful town and the sea. This planning process was start in the autumn on 2010.
