The living space project which is called the Pitch’s House is completed designed by the Spanish architect Iñaqui Carnicero. This living space project is located in Madrid, Spain. Which is precisely located in a small neighborhood on the west boundaries of Madrid in a place which is called “los Peñascales”, that mean something as well as the great stone, the house plot is characterized to have a great slope which is oriented to the south and have the two great granite rocks which is partially covered by the moss. In section, the structure of the house at functional levels as formal is explained perfectly. The underground level is used to solve the encounter with the slope of the land.

Which is makes the main access to the living space, it incorporates the two granite rock and one of them structurally and the other as an articulation. A glass which disappears to incorporate the water plane of the swimming pool in a first plane and the mount called “el pardo” in a second is close by a single space which is opened to the south only. The ceiling of the underground level is generates the white floor which is made of a calcareus stone which constitutes the noble plane where the daily life is developed. The closure does not fit with the perimeter of the first floor but it moves inside, it is to generate the two porches at the ends and a marquee on the front which is allows the entrance of rays of the sun in the winter and it is protected of its impact during the warm months of the summer. Which floats over the glass of the sun floor, the first floor is been thought like a closed box made from the concrete. Here in this section, it is where the rest of the rooms are organized as well as the zones are destined to the study.

A unique bay window which is located at 1, 40 meter of height is allows to trim the skyline of the landscape and it is uniformly illuminates the concrete ceiling. By the two double heights which is put in relation both spaces which is described in the previous, the independence of the levels is only interrupted. The economic restrictions have caused which the house is solved with the minimal possible gestures which is nevertheless generates a great diversity of spaces and attractive situations.

Fabulous! I want one too. Apart from the one blemish at juncture this structure clearly demonstrates that concrete works for a very livable environment. Well done both architect and builder!!!
