Terraustral Oeste School architecture design by Marsio Arquitectos Asociados
Hi guys! Today I would like to post about a school building design. One why I am interesting about this school is; this school has an interesting facade, besides in its architecture, exist a ground floor roofs which are being the roof! Well guys, if you feel curious yet about this office building design then give it a break!
Recently I have searched a school architecture design until I have got one which attract myself, this school building design is called the Terraustral Oeste School. This building design was completed designed by the architect Marsino Arquitectos Asociados – Jorge Marsino P., María Inés Buzzoni G. This school is precisely located in Av. 4 Poniente, Barrio Oeste, Maipu, Chile. There it comprises the site surface for about 2, 300 square meters, while the gross floor area for about 13, 400 square meters. This school has spent budget for about U$ 7,237.440. This school building is a 2008-2009 year project.
Within two years, this project is the second opening of the Terraustral Schools in Maipu, consist in a building for about 3, 400 students which is required to be built by stages, it is in relation to the enrolment demand. Two strong conditions for the master plan are: the linear proportion of the site, with a north front of 300 m long towards West 4 Avenue, and the need of continuity between the new buildings.
By the architect, the school project rises as a 4 storey block along a weaving path across a series of the patios which is open alternately to the north and to the south. This arrangement allows exposing the internal dynamic of the building, as intended with the 2008 project Terraustral Del Sol School. The ground floor roofs are built as roof terraces, it is in order to be considered as a usable place with the intention of the distinguishing the patios sequence. These work as an n outdoor extension of the second to fourth floors, as opposed to the playground of the ground floor.
The appearance of the Building is a continuation of the design for the School which is mentioned before. The use of contrasts is repeated, in this case by the means of using exposed concrete and timber painted in three shades of green, in order to emphasize the main volumes of the building. Currently, the building is undergoing the second stage of construction, expected to support the 2,600 students capacity of the first stage already reached after two years.
Well guys, this school must be a great project. A comfortable factor also is the main architect goal. Ok guys I think it’s up, I hope this little information is useful enough for you. Have a nice day!
