The Skandia headquarter precisely located in an expanding part of central Stockholm. Many companies is established by this headquarter. Also many dwelling place is being built. The status of this building is increasing quickly. The basic place of this headquarter is on the property of the run down office building in the past, which is difficult to develop according to the modern standard. First the owner chooses to demolish and build a new office building for maximum flexibility and economy.

At the beginning of the progress, this building take the glass facade to follow the modern era, but the choice fall on precast concrete, which then are plastered or covered by a stone and a glass. It is intended to make the hired worker who will work here fell comfort.

The glass facade has a screen print with a textile linen texture which is facing Lindhagensgatan. The glass is mounted outside of the rough concrete. The effect is significantly three-dimensional. The other materials which compound the facade are black granite panels which are laminated by wood and a white plaster. The interior of the headquarter is organized around a large glazed atrium which is facing the meeting room and communication assets. In this way the workplace is separated from the sound and it is feel calm which almost library-like.

The headquarter ground floor is occupied by a meeting room and conference venue with many varied meeting rooms and a large auditorium which able to accommodate for about 200 guests. A headquarter which is so many people in the function is almost as a city. The designer is also planned the layout for like that. With streets, squares and meeting places. The auditorium is as the town hall in the village. Great!

The headquarter floor plans has an extremely efficient layout with plenty of rooms. This room is used for meetings and takes the project work. There are some separate office rooms, but these separated office room is most employees work in landscapes.

The building, which is rated “Green Building”, was introduced in spring 2010. What a great headquarter architecture!
