Sports has designed a temporary installation of cloth showroom interior design titled “Life Will Kill You” in West Hollywood. For installation, Molly and Gregory Corso Sports hunkered using the standard zip tie to make the floating volume is located below an existing soffit. The simplicity of the system that very contrast of high fashion clothing boutique, which will be displayed in the room, as a way to show how the two extremes can compliment each other. “This design is intended to explore the edge between aggression and elegance through the sensitivity of the material, overall shape, and visual effects,”explained the designer.
With more than 100,000 zip ties, the designers created a cloud-like volume in which the outer surface of the volume is the aggregation again, the broader relationship white zip while the interior consists of shorter and more delicate colored zip ties. The resulting bubble shape offers a glimpse of the ever-changing color combination that has not escaped life as a layer of zip ties on top of each other in the interior of the store predominantly black and white.
The installation, by the nature of plump and layered systems, dramatically shape the space and bring life to the showroom.
