Concrete Slit House Wooden Staircase Interior Design
A contemporary living space architecture design is completed designed by the architect AZL architects – Zhang Lei. This living space architecture design is designed in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. This living space project which covers an area for about 270 square meters is built in around 2006-2008. A living space project which called the Concrete Slit House is a contemporary Concrete residence which is enmeshed within a quiet Kuomingtang-era neighborhood in central Nanjing.
Which is pressed into a custom mould, the entire structure and roof are made from concrete, handmade from five-centimeter horizontal wood which is strips to remain in scale with the adjacent century-old brick buildings. As the slit is responds to the interior circulation, the slit in the concrete is creates a transparency for it. It is also provides the different programmes with differing interior heights and elevations, thus it is crates in the upper bedrooms half floor volume shifting for its privacy. Inside this living space, the living room is spans over two stories, the dining area is extends over one and half levels, and remaining bedrooms and studies occupy the single storey spaces.
Nanjing has seen thirteen-hundred new concrete high-rises in the past twenty-five years even though China is consumes almost half of the world’s supply of concrete, the Slit House is the first honest concrete building in Nanjing. The house architecture design is colored in a black painting; it is as natural as the concrete color. This living space design has a wooden yard which surrounds it. Inside this house, the properties such as the floor and the furniture is made from a selected wood.
