Elizabeth Cordes, An American designer sent this photo of the Etch chair to contemporist.com. The chair designed for the Brooklyn New York manufacturer MPS (Material Process Systems)

From the contemporist.com :

Faced with a slowing economy and excess capacity, while having access to surplus materials, idle machinery, underutilized manpower, and a vacant storefront, MPS created the RE/BUILD challenge. Six designers were invited to design and develop products using only the resources available at the MPS shop. The furniture, sculpture, and objects of intrigue resulting from this collaborative endeavor have been put on display at Gallery 1889 in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
