A series creation of the sophisticated relationships between the interior and the exterior space is achieved in the Maddock House living space project. This living space project is designed by the Marc Boutin Architectural Collaborative. By the architect this living space project is designed in Calgary, Canada-based. This house design is purposed and developed for a family of four. The critical to the living space design is the embracing of the dramatic views which is facing to the Rocky Mountains and the city center to the west of the living space project. The social spaces on all levels are wrapped around the view of the terraces with the expansive floor to the glazing ceiling.
Which is seamlessly facilitates the socializing with the family and friends, both of the living rooms and the kitchen is wraps around a south-west facing courtyard. The allowance of the client to extend their use of the exterior spaces into the fall and the spring transitional seasons is allowed by the outdoor fireplaces which is located in the courtyard and on an upper level view entrance. The design is utilizes stone cladding on the min level as an important conceptual gesture which is integrates the landscape into the interior spaces of the house. This is done through the extension of the landscape walls. Which is provides the house with the varying levels of the privacy and the amenity, the stone walls is defining the contained exterior spaces. To support the passive solar gain and the natural lighting and the ventilation, the top two floors are clad in stained wood, feature glazing and sun shading.
On the first floor foundation, the black stone is used here to support the second floor which is entirely constructed by a wood. Although this home is almost totally constructed by wooden materials, which is identical with a conventional architecture design, the architect has designed this living space for looked modern living space design by combining selected materials such as stone, furniture and the interior design inside the house. It is a nice two storey comfortable modern living space design, two thumbs for the architect!
