The Pentagonal House architecture design night viewed
The unique house which called Pentagonal House is completed designed by Kazuya Morita Architecture. This unique house is located in Tsushima city, Japan. The roofs of this living space concept is the another landscape. It is created from where the architecture will build. As well as the natural landscape has, they have full of the attractiveness for the space to live for us. At the same time, the integration of the different kind of the technologies is forming the roofs. So the roof is as “meta-technology” of the architecture. If start to designing the architecture from thinking about the roof as a meta-technology, the architect have a chance to deliver another technology for making the roof to a better landscape for live.
This living space design is precisely located within a calm village near Nagoya, Japan. An old Japanese style house where the client’s parent lives is located just next for this house location. This living space design is accommodate the young couple. The delivered traditional hipped roof as many neighboring house has is to respect for and harmonize with the neighboring environment. To have the maximum space in this site and adequate the open space around it, this characteristic pentagonal geometry of the plan is delivered. And then the architect starts to think about how to live under the second landscape, the pentagonal hipped roof. The five main structural walls are set in radials. It is makes the possible to take in the outside spaces as the extension of the interior space. The radial walls are cuts off in the dome shape in the center of the architecture; it is to make a space for the dining table. A tall ceiling height and the whole families can enjoy their dishes all together and wide range views to the gardens on the under the peak of the landscape. People can stay calm and relax with the appropriate distance from the others just like a life in the traditional house in the five surroundings spaces with the low ceiling height, under the skirt of the landscape.
The architect try to use the most usual wooden structure system what most Japanese houses are constructed nowadays, besides delivering this geometry characteristic which is a kind of a technology to the plan of this architecture. The wall of this architecture is finished with the round corner in the Japanese traditional white plaster.
