A nice wooden house which called the Urban Housing is completed designed by the architect 24H Architects. This living space design is designed in Nieuw Leyden, which is precisely located in the north of the city of Leiden, in The Netherlands. The architect has designed two ecological houses within the urban plan of Nieuw Leyden. Which is designed by the architect, the building block is consist of 18 houses. Because there are no regulations of the beauty commission, the future owners are free to design their own living space as long as it fits within the provided building envelope.
The density of the living space is high and the width of the street is minimal so-called canyon is introduced to provide its inhabitants with the maximal daylight during the day. And the canyon itself is flows through the house and encloses the stairs and it is orientated in a way which light falls to the lower floors. To divide the house into the necessary space, the walls of the canyon are used. No other walls are placed thus the canyon is present in every room. The canyon becomes transparent and filters the daylight where desired. It’s closed and allows the toilets and the bathroom to be placed behind its walls where needed. The facade of this living space is the echo of the canyon. The Corten steel is used instead of the certified wood which is applied to the rest of the facade where the canyon is projected.
