Apartments open and pure enough to represent the simple lifestyle of the family. With the constraints of existing wall structure load-bearing, reorganization of spatial functions to efficiently meet the basic needs of everyday family life and create a more flexible living space as well. A laundry room and walk-in closet by the porch replaced an existing auxiliary room, which was originally open to the kitchen without natural light. foyer leading to a gallery that is naturally become a common space for the family before entering the main room and private rooms, and also provides a possible expansion for future needs.
Open kitchen design to encourage interaction between the kitchen and dining room, and openness also improves enough daylight from north facing window. Load-bearing wall separating the gallery and living room is transformed into a thick pocket which is where the library and support center. Meter-eleven guest rooms provide loft-style space to relax, gather and work. A unit of floating cabinets in the master bedroom not only provide a visual barrier from the living room, but also create a buffer zone between the main bedroom and bathroom. All life functions clear, but the space to maintain a sense of continuity and integrity.
Simplicity and consistency in colors, materials and detailing create a space that becomes the background is clean and pure for everyday family life and the natural environment outside the window.
